LG SIGNATURE OLED W7 SERIES TV

LG's new 4k OLED flagship TV's are truly astounding. Not only is it the thinnest TV on the market but it's also the most enthralling.

Wallpaper??...TV??....Both??

DESIGN

The LG Signature OLED W7 Series is produced in two sizes: 65 and 77 inches. The 65" version measures 57.1 by 32.5 by 0.15 inches in dimensions. The display weighs 16.8 lbs and the soundbar 22.7 lbs. This TV is all display; no speakers, ports or buttons. LG uses a wallpaper concept; just a panel attached to a wall and everything else housed in the soundbar.
However, there is a disadvantage, this TV cannot be placed on a table the only option is mounted on a wall.

4K / HDR PERFORMANCE

Although the significant depth has decrease in this TV, LG has managed to maintain an imposing display. This is because of OLED technology; it improves picture quality (better contrast, higher brightness and wider color range), it lowers power consumption and enables ultra-thin flexible and transparent displays. It doesn't require the backlighting used in LCD panels; hence, a slimmer design. LG's OLED TVs not only delivers Dolby Vision, but also offers compatibility with other HDR formats such as HDR10 and HLG. LG W7 series has an upgrade of a 25% more brightness from last year's sets, it delivers image output on same standard with or better than last year’s top-end TV models.

SOUNDBAR

Without the soundbar, the TV is a futile piece of glass. All the TV's ports (four HDMI inputs, three USB, one RF In (Antenna/Cable), one Composite In, one Component In, one Ethernet, one Optical and one mini jack port) are housed at the back of the soundbar to enable such thinness on the TV itself. The soundbar has 4 front-firing drivers and two circular top-firing drivers, that ascends from the soundbar casing when the TV is turned on. LG's idea is to create the ultimate expression of cinema-quality experience in the home.

PRICE

  • 65-inch version - $7,999 in the U.S.
  • 75-inch version - $19,999 in the U.S.

Certainly, LG's new OLED is like no other; a ravishing design, prominent performance and a glamorous soundbar. However, is it that impressive for the charge.
