Nintendo has released its 7th and newest flagship of video gaming consoles, on March 3rd, to duel for the spotlight against the reigning gaming consoles, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Nintendo never ceases to amaze us with its weird but unique hardware design of its gaming systems. The Nintendo Switch is considered as a hybrid gaming console, that can be played as both a portable handheld device or connected to a home TV.

Console
The main unit of the Switch is its console. The console is an LCD, battery powered tablet/monitor that is approximately 4 by 9.4 by 0.55 inches in dimension, 6.2 inches diagonally and weighs about 0.66 lbs. There are slide rails on each side of the console to allow the attachment of the Joy - Cons. The unit itself includes a game card (cartridge) and a micro SD slop. The console has a 2.5 – 6.5 hours battery life depending on the game you’re playing.

The Switch also comes with a Joy - Con Strap that can be attached for a safer experience during game play and also features two additional buttons for a better individual Joy - Con gaming experience.
Joy - Con Grip
The Joy - Con Grip is an accessory that holds two Joy - Cons and gives the user the feel of a natural game pad.
